A question for all?

Couldn't one simply believe in the concept of a god, without divulging any specifics; Doesn't one who admits that they do not know if there is a god or what type of god there is, and that simply cannot be known through normal logic? To specific thesists(Christians, muslims, etc.); Have you ever really considered how outlandish your religion really sounds?
