My computer wont start and it makes little beeps?

I bought a 160 gb hd today and installed it to my computer and installed windows in it, I already had installed some drivers and it was finally seeming to be all ok but then it just freezed and started doing some little beeps that I had never heard before, I dunno if there are hard disks wich can been or not, if there are then I would say these beeps are from it cuz they are not as loud as motherboard's; so I restarted it and now it wont load, it starts doing the same little beeps and noting will load, just the first ms-dos screen with the enegry save thing logo shows while the hard disk makes a little beep every half second and at the same time it beeps the red led turns on. What is wrong with my computer?
